Go to the Music Dojo website they have an excellent series of Slap classes taught by Ant Wellington who plays in Victor Wootens band. The classes are written, audio, and video and Ant is great about answering questions. I took the Slap I class and can't wait to get the time to take the second and third classes.

I have a question that involves popping (slapping is coming along okay). Just posting it here to avoid creating another thread. Anyway, my teacher is very smooth at double popping (there might be a specific term for it, but it's when he pops the d and g strings in rapid succession after slapping). He tells me my form looks right, just keep plugging away at it, but I'm making very little progress, in my opinion. It seems the reason my popping isn't smooth is because I almost seem to be grabbing the strings. It seems my teacher is barely even making contact with them! Anyway, if getting this down is something everybody has to work through then I'll just keep at it, I just want to make sure I'm not instead working all those hours teaching myself bad form!
