Learning songs

i know that learning songs on bass is really important, i have a lot of songs, which ones should i know how to play. Im just not sure if some songs would be more effective than others. And also, what threads list some killer bass songs to learns.

And also, should i concentrate on learning songs with small bass parts, (simple) or complex

Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam...it will teach you restraint and playing for the song, not flash. After years of playing bass, I am finding that this is more and more important, and somehow more and more difficult.
