LED Rackmount?

Just got the Markbass R500 - fits nicely in my rack. The knobs are all black though on a black face.

Its hard to see the dials (not that I change them too much) - does anyone know of a good LED or light system that would take up one space in my rack? Links & pics would be awesome!

Of everything I've tried this is my favorite: a clamp lamp I got for a couple bucks. Why? Because it can go almost anywhere. Rewiring big PA racks on a dark soundman platform, or getting in back of bass rigs or any other place where there's a gordian knot of cables on a dark stage, it's just so much handier.

Put a colored lightbulb in it and it still helps with all those emergencies, and in a pinch where show lighting is lacking it can even be put somewhere that helps you see more than just what's in your rack. I've even used it down by my pedalboard shining upward so I could see my bass's neck better.

There are lot's of power conditioners that have lights on board. Although I can't remember seeing an LED one, that would be great.
You will pay a bit more for the lights, but most are in the let's say $150 range, plus you get cleaner power.

I'm pretty sure my Furman PL-8+ has led's in it's two pull out lights. Is that what you mean?

You can likely find leds in cheaper power supply units as well. Heck, I'd recommend the Behringer rack mount tuner for $60 b/c it has lights under it - but the unit doesn't pick up bass frequencies for snot!

I used to use an auto map light with a 12v power inverter. I had it mounted to a one space blank panel in the top position of my rack. The map light came with both a clear and a red lense. I used the red lense since it was easier on the eyes and it gave my rack a pretty cool red glow. Cost about $15 dollars at NAPA. It even vame with the inverter for regular wall outlets or a cigarette lighter plug.

Standard Power Conditioner bulbs are night-light bulbs ... and they get hotter than hell.

My other trick: I installed a BNC socket into the handle recess of my rack, and hooked a wall-wart transformer of appropriate rating to it, to run a flex Littlite that I got off a very old Peavey mixer. Swivels around to back of rack too. The gooseneck detaches via the BNC mating and the socket is protected from taking a beating.

It's also discontinued ... and I don't believe it was ever sold here.

Try something along the lines of those booklights you can buy at a dollar store. The are usually made with some kind of clip to attach it on the book which would be the edge of the rack case. You can get 2 and it should cover a good area.

As an alternative, put white dots on the knobs with typewriter correction fluid or paint.

You can also get a USB powered hub with an AC adapter fairly cheap these days, and just plug in lights like these:
