I might just bite the bullet and try my hand at building the BFD 2-10" cab. I just don't like the crazy amount of tweeters that they have and I want it to match the W/L demensions on my cab. I should just talk to Bill. Gotta get that money first.

FYI, you can build the cab in different widths, and you can leave the tweeters off entirely if you like. If you look at the picture slideshow banner on Bill's forum, there's one guy who built the half-size versions of the Omni 10 (Omni 10.5, single 10" cabs), and built two sets in different widths, with and without tweeters:

I have the plans for the Omni 10 myself, and want to give it a try. I'll leave off the tweeters for my own use.

Q: Did you get a decent mids or just mid highs?

my impression was really a high mids and trebly cab, it started to lose definition around the A strings, which I classify as mids and low mids. there was alot of punch to this cab but no rumble. Like I said, this cab would be good for the hollow, grinding bass tone of punk, but not a whole lot else.

Please let me know how you like it. A 2-10" might be more realistis for me as I want a little more in the highs after my tweet blew out. Plus, I want to see my 450watt power section. I haven't been able to do it yet.

Well, instead of the Legion I ended up getting the store-brand box instead: Link Removed

I *highly* recommend it to you DIY builders - excellent tone out of the two different sets of woofers I've put in it. I've tried the Madison Knights and a pair of old Eminence speakers from a 90's Ampeg cab and get TONS of tone, altho a bit lacking in the lows (as you might expect). I've coupled it with a 115 for an excellent church-filling tone.

I'll be picking up another to match the MSC 212 I'm using in my blues band soon.

I got an empty 210 from them through ebay anb put eminence
S2010's in it. It's only to hold me over until completing an omni10. The box is a bit small, it had no internal bracing, horrible sharp edged corners, and very cheap jacks. It's light enough unloaded that I'd call it lightweight, but the construction was poor quality. I braced it very thoroughly, and lined it with foam.

It has a decent punch and a fairly full sound for a 210 with the betalite's in it, but at the money and time I've got in it, it would seem there are equal or lower priced 210's with better build quality and sized more appropriately.

Still using mine. Only need 1 2x12 -tweeter for most venue's. Powered with an Acoustic 150B. Sweet vintage tone with plenty of headroom.
