Legit '61 P bass?

Ok, so I got a reply and it's his deceased brother's bass. And the serial number dates to... Wait for it. NINETEEN SIXTY-ONE! What say you now? I've asked for photo of serial to confirm that and photos with bridge cover removed to see what's going on with bridge.

yeah well it's setting off some alarms and unless you can go look at it who knows if it's legit. Also his pics aren't the ones we want to see. Neck heal, pots PU's etc.

Anyway it sounds like Spellcaster went and took a look at it and there are apparently no markings anywhere. Neck heal pots pickups nada.

"just checked out the bass first hand. I took it completely apart and looked it over top to bottom. Pickups, pots, neck pocket, neck heel, pots ects and absolutely nothing to indicate a date or that it's legit. Wish I had more exciting news but my guess is thats its a reissue or parts bass."
