Lemmy playing.....an 8 string Hagstrom???

Calm down, calm down, they're just lip synching on TV, I'm sure they just grabbed whatever was available to make an appearance(Fast Eddie on non-reverse Firebird?), I know, it just doesn't look right. Now keep in mind, Lemmy was a roadie for Hendrix, could it be the one used briefly by Jimi and Noel on 'Axis'?

You're probably right. Showed up at the studio and were given what was laying around. I have seen a picture of Lemmy using a Thunderbird though. Again, was probably a loaner. He was asked on stage for a jam at one of the early 80's Donnington feats.

Edit: Just searched it out. Lemmy and T-birds is pretty well documented over the years.

Lemmy did indeed own an 8-string Hagstrom (I used to help run the fan club, gear questions cropped up from time to time).

He didn't use it much, but I suspect it probably was the Hendrix one.

Lemmy's is sunburst. All the pics I've seen of Jimi or Noel with a H8 are this reddish color, although that doesn't mean they didn't have a sunburst H8.
