So, I was watching this video of Lemmy playing bass () and it looks to me like he's hitting more than one string at the same time. Is he playing chords? Sorry for the rookie question.

Yeah, Lemmy often plays power chords which gives the illusion of a distorted heavy guitar.

Lemmy has an unusual style. He turns up the mids and distortion and plays chords. He plays in a power trio and he covers the part of the rhythm guitar and bass all at the same time.

This works if you want to sound like Motorhead.
