Hello Talkbass community, I'm a long time lurker but I decided to join in. Since these times are weird and I got plenty of time on my hand - temporarily out of job because we all know why - well why not come here and partake, discuss, laugh and learn.
I'm in the Montreal, Quebec area, maybe 20 minutes from the city. I'm 50 yrs old, been gigging as a semi-pro (?) since 1990. Like many, I started on guitar and drifted towards bass at some point. I still play the guitar but not on stage, I much prefer my work as a bassist. I'm mostly a progressive rock fan, huge Frank Zappa fan too - you may have noticed my Tom Fowler avatar - a young Tom - but I play almost any genres aside from dance music.
