What's up talk bassers! This is a nice ol' voice memo iphone recording of me and my buddies playing in our house at school.

It's 27 minutes so I won't force you to listen to the whole thing, but if you wanna check out around 15-20 minutes I think is some cool stuff, and right around 21 minutes in there's a nice little funk jam with my guitarist on keys and my keys on drums, if you can manage that.

I pretty biased in thinking that we sound pretty good, so I would love to hear some feedback from people that aren't in on it, because feedback is a good friend of any musician.

Hey folks, here's a bit of dark pop/post-punk/goth-lite from my current project. Just finalized this one a few days ago.

The bass part isn't complicated to play, it just serves the song. Sonics-wise though, it had a lot done to it. Offhand it was DI, compressor, some amp/cabinet simulation, transformer saturation simulation and a touch of chorus just on the midrange, and then some ducking of the low end with the kick drum and EQ to fit it into the mix.

This is a little rock tune that my band has been working on for a few months now. We did all the recording and mixing on our own, in our basement "setup". We recently had it mastered by Rodney Mills in Atlanta and we love the results. It gave it just the right amount off pump and breath that it needed.

I would love to here some opinions/critiques on the song as well as tracking/mixing techniques. This is our first official complete song as a band as well as recording nerds. Although the drums need help....I'm sure you can figure out why...

But this is our attempt at bringing a little bit of honest rock to the table, something we feel has been missing in music for a while now.
