more of our songs are actually geared toward that kind of sound. we will hopefully have them recorded by May. Just trying to get some shows going at this time. Figured between those two songs that would give people a good general idea of our sounds as of this moment.

This is my pop rock band, Mittens, in which I play lead guitar. I'd been inspired by a couple of Japanese rock songs with natural harmonics and bossa nova rhythms, so I tried to make a song with both:

You guys have a great singer. Did I hear multiple key changes there? Is that a fretless bass?
Yes, Liz Gre is a great vocalist and songwriter (her original tune).
And yes, it is a fretless Zon Sonus.
Here's a bunch of demos I recorded in my spare time at home. It's just me with my DI'd bass & amps, a guitar, and a computer.

Thanks. To be fair, *everything* sounds good through an AC30 with a Treble Booster. I have lyrics and a melody for that one that I haven't recorded yet.

Gotcha. Yep it's a piano, native in Alchemy I think. I'll have to check out In Through the Outdoor. Never heard of it.

A few years ago I was involved with an online club that loved the band Foreigner and the group of people who formed that club were talented musicians themselves. We decided to try a unique approach and do a selection of Foreigner tunes as an "internet band". The "group" that we formed consisted of 3 girls and 3 guys including myself. We had a guy who was a drummer, another guy who was a good guitarist, 2 girls who sung and played keyboards/synth and 1 girl who also sung and played guitar. I supplied the bass track. The 3 girls and other 2 guys all lived in different states of America and to my knowledge none had ever met face to face. I am in Australia and also have never met any of them.
The main keyboard melody to this song called RAIN (originally by Foreigner) was laid down on a computer track and forwarded to the rest of us involved where we used our individual computers, using the same music editing software, to make our own contributed music. In my case the bass playing to the song.
All recorded parts were sent to the main singer girl who mixed everything together to form the completed song. I explain this in simple terms so it may be understood easily for younger members.
Anyway once all contributed parts were mixed together with vocals from the girls and guys with the instruments we ended up with our recording. This was 20 years ago. Here is the recording done by all 6 of us and mixed together by the main girl singer. It was a most interesting project.
