I love it, I tried this one and an American pro, side by side. I think this one is better. The neck is fantastic and the fretwork is spot on.

It's a wide neck, 42mm, but is very thin, in the back. Really comfortable. I prefer the more classic tone of these pickups, comparing to the modern American pro.
And it is a stunning bass. For me it's always sunburst and tort, but when I saw this one I loved it right away.
The black-with-chrome-trim look is nice, but common. I think it would look fantastic if you were to put all black hardware on it. And you could put any strings you want on it that are not the typical steel or nickle color and it would look great, whereas it might look a little incongruous as is. That said, if it were mine, I probably wouldn't swap anything out. Buying black tuners & knobs & specialty bridge would be expensive, and probably more than I'd want to pay for a pure cosmetic change.
I would not change it up, I think the chrome balances out nicely with the stripes. A set of Black Beauties wounld't hurt though!
Well, since everyone is coming clean with the Warwick offspring, does black oil finish qualify for this thread? I lucked out with this last month. Arguably the best bass I own. With the DR Pure Blues it sounds and plays beautifully.
