I'm strongly thinking about ordering a tobacco sunburst bass from Keisel. I just wanted to see some pictures.
ha! I don't need to be asked twice to show off my bursts even tho none are true tobacco bursts but rather the more common std. 3 tones. imo tobacco tends to favor the old classic, a Strat with a maple board. Peavey cut corners on the Zodiac BXPs burst paint jobs so I got a hint of tobacco with the plate off. {} {} my Cort Curbow Retro is far closer to tobacco {} I like the classic Fender-ish 3 tone they gave the Squier VM PJs but don't recall tobacco on much of late {} then there's maybe the best burst ever sprayed, the T-40s which I waited years to find in my price range {} {} while I don't have anything postable of my '65 Fender BASS V this is a minty example, mine is not {} I have more than I thot I did and plan on upping the count! lol
Thank you. I saw it offered on Reverb and the finish looked nice so I made an offer and got it. Looks just as good in person. Even though there's a thin band of red making it a 3 tone Sunburst G&L still calls it Tobacco Sunburst or they did when this one was produced. It's a 2009 if I recall.
Here's a 2004 G&L Tobaccoburst (long gone). {} This is what G&L's original (1980) bursts looked like. {} Turner Electroline. {}
it's pillow time for the Continent so I'll throw some oddballs up I've archived til more people wake up lol Maton {} forgotten the info but likely an old Japan issue that I find quite attractive {} a flamey F-hole Harmony H27 {} a dreamy late '50s Gibson EB2 {} a way cool Kay {} late '60s Custom Craft {} Uncle Geez with a Birch or JayDee {} I think this was a heavily reliced newer P {} a Hamer Cruise {} '66 Supro {} an updated Dano styled Longhorn {} a minty Ric {} a mega bursted Hayman 40 40 {} more mega burst, a late '60s Italian Sonelli Violitarra Hispana {}
{} {} Mine is for sale if anyone has the itch...For Sale - Lakland 55-01 3 Tone Burst + custom pickguard
{} Tobaccoburst Cavern, that I bought for it's sound. (before I bought the one above, I checked a more yellow - blackburst Cavern in another shop, it had some chips off the lacquer, something had gone wrong with applying the lacquer in the factory, the salesguy said. They also had a purple-ish burst violin bass with blade pickups.) And two sixties Italian hollwobody's with red- and sunburst. {} {}
