Before I started on my great bass adventure, I was a guitar player for 38+ years. Still keep my skills up, not that I was that skilled. I played rhythm with some touches of lead. I enjoy playing guitar. I'm having a lot of fun playing bass, wish I would have taken it up way before I did. Got in my first serious lasting band immediately. That didn't happen on guitar, as guitar players are a dime a dozen.
So what's my point here you ask. I know there's a bunch of y'all that play guitar. Let's see your very favorite guitars. Yes I know some smart comedian is gonna wanna put up their 6 string bass. I'm talking about 6 or more small diameter string variety. Electric, acoustic it's all good, one of each if that's how you feel.
I'll go first since I started this silly ode to guitar thing. When Kurt Cobain and his grungy friends pounded a stake into the heart of hair metal. No one wanted those extravagant hair metal guitars anymore. They were a mire pittance of their former prices. Thus began my odyssey to buy up a bunch of my favorite brand Kramer for very little. I bought some very nice ones. My favorite guitar is a refinned early Kramer Pacer, named The Blue Meanie. I think someone was trying to hide the fact it was involved in the hair era. Bought it for 100 at a Music Go Round. I tried to take off the blue on the headstock hoping to find the logo, but it was gone.(hence the primer up there) Someone put a Duncan JB in the bridge position, and it's a great pickup. It has a Floyd Rose which I love for how they lock the tuning in place, plus I dig the mechanics of it. Always solid, hot, in tune guitar, no matter how hard I flog it. And lots of dings and dents mojo.

(I'm including my #2 cause it's too nice not to show. A 1979 Silverburst Les Paul Custom. It was my first real guitar, bought in 1984 for a very nice price. It will always be close to my heart.)
