I’ve got a proper engineering test bench in my workshop. Bought it super cheap about 20 years ago when Nortel was downsizing.

it’s completely covered with junk and a total mess right now or I’d take a picture and post it.

I messed mine up today replacing some caps on one of my amps lol. I've now got a bench variable power supply and a oscilloscope on the way so it should start taking shape soon!

One of my work benches, I have several around the shop depending on what I’m working on at the time.

My profile says retired (sort of). Sort of because I assist in the care of my mother-in-law who suffers from Alzheimer's. When my wife is at work or out running errands, or when our caregiver is not at our house, I'm on duty. Mom and I watch a bit of TV but more time is spent listening to music. This is my view from the sofa that we sit on. She sits to my left. I sit within arm's reach of the vodka and pretzels. Animal print chair is the official stereo chair but I don't sit there because then my back would be to her and I have to keep a close eye on her. Not a bad environment to work in. Stereo imaging is a bit off from this angle but I have no complaints.
