I have a letter written to me by Jaco Pastorius in 1980, in which he answered a lot of questions I asked him about bass playing, gear, his influences and music in general. I sent a scan of the letter to Jaco's late widow Ingrid and she featured it on her Cybernest website in tribute to Jaco for a few years before she died.
The letter is getting a little fragile so I've protected its pages and original mailing envelope in polyester mylar sleeves. He signed the letter simply "Jaco", but Autographmagazine.com has recently estimated its worth at over $1700 CAD.
