Lexicon MX400 Effects

My band is looking into purchasing this unit. Would appreciate any helpfull info on this product. Our band is hoping this product is user friendly and it puts our sound to the next level. Specially the vocals. Thank You for any input from our membership.

Download the manual and read it through before you buy it. Some of the Lexicon units are known for being very unfriendly to the user. This is not the case with the 200, but I've not seen a 400.

I can't tell from a quick look whether it has one stereo engine or two. If it's one, for about the same money - if you can find one - a used Kurzweil Rumour would be an alternative to consider. If it's two, a used TC M2000 would be a good alternative.
