Using Reaper, my goal is always to make complete songs but occasionally, you get the 3-4 chord riff and time goes by and even tho' you may have a catchy phrase, but you don't bother or just can't find a way to divert from it and then return to resolve it.
Make a Library out of it!

Yeah, I saw that. I remember when that sort of thing was in discovery mode, or rediscovery, as it were. Part of the overall Swing/Lounge/Space Age Bachelor Pad/Exotica/70's Italian Soundtrack and Disco/etc, etc trend of the 90's, a hot hipster movement of that moment. An influence on outfits like Air and Stereolab, like Britpop and Third Wave Ska it was an alternative to Grunge. Lots of cool kitsch grooves.
I'm not sure if Delia Derbyshire should really be lumped in with all that, she was her own category, completely different realm.[/warning]
