Hello, does anyone have experience pairing the realist lifeline with the headway edm1 preamp? I'll be using it to run into a powered speaker, I'm wondering if the impedance combination will be a problem. Thanks.

I use the EDB-2 with a QSC K8 powered speaker all the time. While I don't use the Realist Lifeline, I used the Realist Copper foil with the Headway EDB-1 for over a year. Just like the EDB-2 (which I now use) the EDM-1 allows you to select from three
different input impedances. Active/Low 1 meg ohm, High is 5 meg ohms, and High+ is 20 meg ohms. I always preferred the High setting, at 5 meg ohms. You should play around with that switch, as manny Realist users have
stated that they prefer the High+ 20 Meg Ohm setting. While the changes in Timbre are subtile, they are there.

Thanks for the replies ric and bob. I'm trying to keep this rig as small as possible to take on the train for relatively low volume gigs. The powered speaker I'm using is the Phil jones pb100 and I'm currently using the old Fishman pro platinum bass preamp. The Current sound is pretty good but the Fishman is built like a tank and very heavy so I want to replace it with something smaller. The two preamps I'm considering are the edm1 and the newer Fishman platinum stage. Above all I'm looking for uncolored clarity in a small package, the Fishman is also 100$ cheaper and has a second line out but mostly I'll be using this for just small trio and quartet gigs where I don't need the DI and 1/4" out. I appreciate any suggestions.
