I'll spare you the smart-ass reply (of which you will receive many) and say that it'd be hard to get a much lighter case than an SKB ATA, at least one that would serve the function of protection. The nylon fabric cases may be a little lighter.

well, it may be obvious, but i know zilch about rack cases. i have never even seen one in person... well maybe at a concert. I am trying go as light as possible so if the rack case weighs 20lbs it defeats the purpose of buying a 11lb poweramp.

do the nylon bags allow for breathability?ie is it like a bag where you have to remove the amp before you can play?

It would be optimum to have a light case that i can easily just open up plug in, turn on and play.
