Line 6 Bass Podxt Pro

I just got my line 6 bass pod proxt and after I plugged it in, the volume knob on my Amp head stopped working and now the volume is regulated by the effects.

My questions are these: 1) is that normal?, 2) Is this something that needs to be rectified? 3) will the volume output on the effects be the same as the amp head?

I plugged into the effects send on my pod, and the effects return on my Amp head. Was that not right?
I don't know how you have the Pod set up, but the effects send is meant to be used to add external effects into the signal chain. Depending on your preset, you might be tapping the signal early and not getting all of the effects that you've programmed. My recommendation is that you use the unbalanced analog outputs.

The effects return on the amp is as I've said before. It bypasses the amp controls and feeds the signal directly to the power amp. This is the right move IF you are running amp simulation on the Pod. If not, I would plug into the normal amp input.
