Wasn't particularly looking to sell it, but I am in need of a solid 5 string since currently my only 5 string is a fretless which I am still learning to play. This is a pretty rare bass and it has some really cool features. There are no pictures other than one from online because I left it with the luthier to replace the battery connector, but everything else works great and I will be sure to post or send pictures once I get it back. It has a few dinks here and there but overall I think it is in pretty good condition.
This bass was discontinued in 2007 making it rare but what really makes it stand out is the modeling technology Line 6 brought over from their guitars. There is a knob with 12 settings and each setting has 2 banks that you can switch between by pressing the volume knob. Each one of these settings has a generic name (Since they obviously can't put brand names on the knobs) so for example, if you want a vintage Fender Jazz Bass sound you set it to VINJ. The sounds it can make will be in a chart attached.
It is a really fun bass to play around with and really good for a studio or any recording session where you intend to use more than 1 tone that you would normally need multiple basses for. If I'm being honest, the synth sounds are only cool to play around with but you get over them quickly. However, I think all the other ones sound really good, even the 8 and 12 string settings if you find the use for them. I recommend looking for some demos of this bass on YouTube to really understand how it works. There is also a blend knob, which while initially it seems weird on a piezo, it actually is a blend for the bass you are modeling, and in the case of any bass with one pick up (such as a precision), I believe it emulates moving the pickup closer and further from the bridge/neck. The other knobs are a master volume and stacked bass and treble knobs.
With the bass I will include the battery pack for 6 AAs (It eats a 9V in like 1-2 hours but the battery pack lasts like 10-12) and the direct power box that let's you play it without batteries. I don't think I have a scale that will measure it accurately but it is definitely on the heavier side. It also currently has some older red strings, but the sounds work even better with new brighter strings.
