OK masters of effects chains. Here is what I am looking to do. I have been covering some organ and synth sounds using a Boss SY-300. It sounds great and fills out the mix when doing some more modern tunes. I have always used the internal blender in the Boss unit to play both the synth/organ part along with the bass part. (because who really wants to hire a keyboard player lol) Now I am thinking of taking this next level and splitting my bass signal, and only routing the bass sound to my amp and the SY-300 signal to the PA to make it sound less connected to the bass. I can use the input on the SY-300 and then out to the PA, and then run a cable from the thru leg back to my board not breaking my chain and essentially splitting the signal, engaging the boss using with its foot switch. Seems like the easiest route. However there are times when I want only the synth sound and no bass which cannot happen using this signal path unless I run a mute switch after the Boss unit muting my board but not the original signal from the bass. So anyone have any ideas on how to get:
Bass and synth, Bass only, and synth only, sending the signal to 2 different AMP sources?
Initial thought was a Boss LS-2 line sector, but it has 2 effects chains, and only sends 1 output signal. Then I thought maybe a ABY switch would be the ticket, but I am trying to avoid phase or grounding issues as well. So if you have any ideas on how you would route this let me know.
Thanks
