It's a great program and it's getting way better. This will probably change DJing forever. You will be able to import any .mp3 file and it will sync it up with the beat you've already got going - that's insane.

Native Instruments Traktor is another program that's worth looking at if you're into DJ-ing based on MP3's.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Live5 will be like. It has a few nice FSU tools and g**tar-esque effects. I've been tinkering with Live4 and combined with a MIDI flooboard it's a fabulous solo-bass tool. Load up some banks of beat loops, lay down a groove, loop and hey presto, you're in business.

There's another track I recorded available through the ZoneMobius Yahoo group:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/zonemobius/message/497 (CAUTION: this one's 5Mb!). In this one I didn't use Live's looping abilities, instead I'm using Mobius (freeware Echoplex emulator - absolutely FABULOUS piece of software) as the looping device (VST insert effect). The rest of the effects are Live's own in-built FX (Resonator, Reverb, Grain delay, filter delay). The only sound-source for this track is my Conklin GT7. The pad-like sound is the grain delay set at an octave above separation and small grain size.
