I'm assembling the rig as we speak, it should be pretty awesome. Giant cab, tiny little head on top. Can you say "Master Blaster"?

Does anyone else rock this setup? Please tell me it's as awesome as it sounds in my head.

Given the reputation that Markbass' amps & speakers have earned for delivering tonal clarity, and given that the newer SVT-810E's are regarded as sounding somewhat muddy, it may be that the CL 108's comparative mid-bump is an asset.

BTW. In the interest of technological exactitude re these two 8x10 sealed cabs, the Markbass CL 108 weighs 90 pounds (from the Invalid Link Removed), and the Ampeg SVT-810E tips the scales at a portly 140 lbs. :eek:

And for further perspective, Traynor's 8x10 box, the TC810, weighs - in this age of neo speakers - an infinitely baffling 156.5 pounds! :eyebrow:

Hey guys, I am with Lowendgenerator. I run a 2 GK1001RBll's thru 2 85 svt810E cabs. and it is insane. i have had all the other stuff that sounds great. But it all turned into a big pile of %rap under heavy load and demand. Try using some of that third world garbage while touring and you will see what i mean. Do not try to reinvent the wheel men. All of my ameg heads are all dead and gone as well as my mark bass and and the other werthless heads I was talked into. So go ahead and spend your money on all the new, hear today and gone tomarrow stuff. Best of luck

Well, I put it this way, I have gotten rid of ALL my Mark Bass gear Except my CL108. It's not just the weight of the cab, but to me has that mid bump that I like. I ONLY play through tube amps now and this sealed cab, 80lb wonder is IT!!:bassist:
