Loaded pickguard

I purchased a Dimarzio loaded pickguard and it didn't seem to fit right. I had to "stuff" the jack in there and the pickups are tight around the guard. Is this normal? Or will I need to burr out the plastic a tads bit?

Pickguard fitment is the furthest you can get from being universal. Just about every pickguard is going to be different in some way from another, unless you have verified that a particular company offers a pickguard that fits a particular bass without modification.

Usually it is mounting hole placement that varies, but jack placement and pickup route geometry can vary, as well.
