Double Bass lonely violone player

Hi,
I have recently gotten a violone. I'm strictly an amateur.
I do take an occasional lesson with a good teacher, but
I would like to have some email conversation with someone
who is willing/interested in talking about the violone.
I played the viola da gamba for years, so I have that
as a background, but the violone is a pretty big beast....
