found a great tech here on long island. fixed my blown up SWR workingman 15 practice amp (major amp failure blowing fuses and sending DC to speaker, thereby blowing it as well) 
for $50 (included both labor and parts, a transistor and a cap) and in 1 week turnaround, its sounding better than ever.
he did the amp repair, i replaced the speaker.
very reasonable!
