Long lasting strings

SO I've been using Ernie Ball regular slinkies for a while now, They have great tone when their new, but they don't actually last very long.

So what would be some decent strings that last a VERY long time (that won't cost a fortune, I've got my Warwick to save up for for ) If you want to know I play a bit of metal, funk rock, rock,and sometimes a bit of jazz.

elixirs! sure, they're $40 NOW, but they last forever! also, i find them to be awesome in feel and sound.

I loves me some DR Hi-Beams for rounds.

Elixirs or tapewounds.

I also use the D'addario coated strings, they're fantastic.

Plus they are somewhat high tension.
