20 years since I'd played live (married in '92--to quote Sylvester the Cat, "Friday and Thaturday nighth ith definitely off my litht!")
13 hours since the gig ended
1.5 weeks of notice
22 songs
3 rehearsals
3 "guest" vocalists--I think one was named Carrie Okie
1 guitarist who quit during the second rehearsal because of a misunderstanding (we think)
1 remaining guitarist who spent the whole night misreading the chords and forgetting the signature licks ("Yeah, I didn't really have time to practice.")
$0 (food and drinks comped)

But...the rhythm section being good enough for the band to get an invite back for St. Paddy's Day? Priceless!

Just had to share.

P.S. We REALLY need to get Two Tickets To Paradise off the set list. (Waiting so long...waiting so long...waiting so looooong...for that confounded chorus....)

Thanks for the posts! I figured someone might be able to use a "things seem to be going sideways with my band, but they can still turn out OK" message.

Now to help get my friend the guitarist back on track...the 17th isn't that far away. This probably means rewriting the charts, but it'll be worth the effort.
