Long time reader, first time poster

Hey everybody,

Been reading posts on this board for quite some time, figured it was about time I actually say hello. So, "hello!"

In particular - quite grateful for the classic Ed Fuqua "how to really learn a tune" thread which I'm still getting mileage out of today!

Hybrid jazz and rock & roll guy. Haven't touched my upright in a couple years due to a shoulder injury but still manage to torture myself with how bad my intonation is on an Ibanez fretless that has a 24-fret range so I can still kinda pretend like I'm playing the big doghouse (plus I can get away with practicing it without disturbing my husband!).

Same here, landed here many times when googling something, but finally registered today.
Relatively new, have been “playing with the bass” for many years but never seriously, until about a year ago I decided to really practice every day, and have stuck to it. Enjoying the journey.
