Long Walk - Jill Scott

Cool arrangement! Nice playing all around. My only criticism would be that it sounds as if the song (as played) is more about the band than the singer. Your arrangement is definitely more reminiscent of the version from Jill's first live album than the studio version, but still, there's a sexiness to the original (studio or live) that is missing here. You could have done a lot more with dynamics and played to the singer (instead of having the singer sound as if she is an add on). Jill Scott is about lyrics so you have to be able to hear and digest what those lyrics are. As far as the bass is concerned though, you nailed it.

+1 You guys are already shining! Let the vocalists shine too!

Thanks guys!!! That is good stuff right there! I will take that to our next rehearsal! Very good points...

I think we all got really excited about doing the song, and played it as such, plus we might have hit the hits a little strong!

Haha, but thanks for the input, really appreciate it!
