Look what I just picked up for 100 bucks!

That's a Kustom PA cabinet (one of the smaller ones produced by Kustom back in the '70s)

They also made em with 2 - 15's and a horn and several other configurations including 4 - 12's. Many of their cabinets sported two round ports in front. I've seen ones with 3 -15s and a Horn too.

Tuck and Roll came in Naugahyde - Dull Black, Silver Sparkle, White Sparkle, Red Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, Green Sparkle, Gold Sparkle and Yellow Sparkle.

They all had Ball Casters on the bottom and were considered Good to Very Good in their time as far as slightly above average sound for vocals and could take a beating & keep working.

Back then PAs were used for vocals only.

You could easily get away with using that cab on its side as a front voice monitor or as a guitar cab. Probably get a good growly sound out of it too.

The tuck and roll was strictly for looks and to distinguish their product from the run of the mill Tolex variety that Fender and Peavy were putting out back then.

They were big sellers as they were reasonably priced for what they were.

I wouldn't try bass through your cab, but if you have a favorite guitard, I'm sure he'd like to crank through it onstage powered by his favorite tube head.

Yup we had a pair of these in high school back in the day.. They sounded terrible .. then it might of been the Head that came with them..

Played through 'em back in the day, as a sax guy in horn bands. No big deal 'cause lots of people have. Like I said, they'll actually retrofit well if you know what you are doing, and be real stealth monsters.

I believe this was originally a p.a. stack but rock it out on the bass!

The stock speakers were awful, as were the PAs. They had a useable frequency range of about 300hz - 1.5 khz. Vocals sounded like they were coming through a megaphone.

But with modern drivers it might make an interesting sealed bass thing.

Oh that brings back memories. Long, long time ago, (early 70's) We have the whole setup includeing the matching head and stand. Bass player had the bass rig with the 2 white cabs and the rhythm guitar player had a blue combo, The lead had a red combo (both the same, I believe) All of it sounded like crap, but we didn't know, it sounded better than what we used before and the crowd didn't care. And we looked good! A trumpet player who we wouldn't let join and his cronies stole the whole setup. (Couldn't prove it, but we were pretty sure and one of his partners fessed up.)

Hmmm, not the head we had. Our seem more elaborate with the channels grouped differently; it either had 10 or 12 channels and the master controls were in the center. it was a big step up from the Shure Vocalmaster we were using.
