Hi guys,

I'm looking for a cabinet that meets the following specs, can you point a guy in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- 410
- Less than 16.5" deep
- Neo speakers
- SEALED

Thanks,
Andre

Hi Andre,

Just askin'
Why not, e.g., ask this:
-footprint less then 16.5" deep
-should be light weight, e.g. less then 40lb
-sound should be tight and punchy lows with crispy highs (I play mostly funk/pop with fingerstyle and slap 'n pop technique)
-I play at venues without PA support up to 200 people

Those are some of the specs we need to give you a good advise.

Well, I play a P-Bass with a pick, and want a tone as close to an SVT-CL through a sealed 810 as I can get in a smaller, lighter package. I currently own an SVT-CL but am looking to downsize to the V4B and a 410 sealed cab. Depth must be less than 16.5" due to the size of my vehicle. Just wondering if there's any such cab out there.

You could commission a cab that meets your needs, using the same speakers. The 410he meets all your requirements except the depth. Changing that depth, will effect the sound.

+1. Medium duty at 200 watts each cab, but they certainly can cop that sealed 810 vibe by addinq some lows. They're not going to have the wallop of an SVT810 but 2 of them would work for small/meduim venues.
They punch harder than you would expect, and sound great stacked vertically.

They are, but they are also medium duty cabs.

Agreed. I believe they're not rated to go lower than 58hz, and can only handle 200w. I found the low end lacking in these cabs (I had a pair), even when boosting low frequencies on the amp head. Then again, I play a lot of dub and roots reggae, so maybe you won't find the same issues with the cabs that I did. When used as a practice cab with the Rush cover band I was in, the 210AV wasn't bad; it will put out lots of nice mid-range grind, if that's your thing (P-bass + pick means to me that it's at least possible!)

Noisy Box default 4x10 size is 100x62x43mm - so the depth is only 1.69". They used to do a cab called g.noiz that had 4 neo SICA speakers - (1000 watts total) I`ve used it for years and it was REALLY small and lightweight. Ordering one from Poland is probably out of the question for you but the cab you`re looking for CAN be done.

There's definitely at least one cab that meets those specs because we make one! But it isn't neo (doesn't really get the right vibe) and it isn't a 4x10".

So what you're saying is you do not make a cab to those specs? ;) :D

I think the OP should let the idea of a 410 go and his options open up big time. I am glad I no longer use 410s. It is such a pain to carry them through doors, you have to turn sideways.
