I play in a punk/core band and we tune everything to C. I used to play through a Legion Sound 2x10 and 1x15 cabs with a Hartke2000 bass head, it sounded pretty good but I just didn't get the sound I was looking for and bought a Peavey KB300 Keyboard amp which has a heavy as hell 15" inch speaker in it. I gives me a pretty good sound because of the push/pull gain knob. It gives it a "punchy" sound but I'm switching back to cab and amp.
