I've been posting an ad on the Philadelphia and NE PA Craigslist, and received a response suggesting I do the same on TalkBass. It hadn't occurred to me, so here I go.
I'm trying to track down a bass I lost sometime in early 2002 in south Philly. Short story, I left it in the care of a roommate that I shared an apartment with and he ended up moving while I was out of town for a while. The apartment was located in the 700 block of Christian St., not far from the Italian Market, and I suspect the bass was cleared out along with other stuff by the landlord when the place was abandoned. Anyway, this wasn't a great bass and doesn't have any great financial value, but has sentimental value. It was my first! You've probably seen me mentioning the red "Cromwell" bass I started with. It's actually a Hagstrom labeled as a Cromwell. It looks similar to the red Hagstrom below (without the contoured edges); the Cromwell badge located on the headstock is also reproduced below.
If by any chance someone has seen something like this floating around or has knowledge of a similar bass that could fit the history I've described, I'd appreciate a PM about it. There'd be a reward involved, if that's important.
Thanks for reading, if you've gotten this far!
