Looking for a solid reverb

Howdy.

So I've recently found that I really like the sound of a reverb on a bass, and that it would be very useful for the style of music that I play. I've seen a few demos for a few pedals, but did not see many bass demos.

Two pedals that I really so far are the Neunaber WET Reverb (Both stereo and mono), and the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo.

I am particularly looking for smaller pedals like those two seeing as I have a PT Mini with limited real estate.

Any feedback is totally welcome.

Thanks!

This is a bit self serving, but I love the Source Audio Dimension Reverb. Tons of options, interfaces with an expression pedal, and built for bass. The Zoom CDR also has some very nice reverb sounds as well.

Iron ether nimbus is another one you might consider? Small footprint and sounds really good, the filter knob is fantastic!

Just got done listening to a demo.

Great pedal. I like that it has all the different features, but I don't think I would ever come to use all of them. What I like to much about the two the I put down is that they are simple, have great tone, and have the features that I want.

Source Audio Dimension. Unless you want to shell out the space and money for an Eventide Space, I don't think you wouldn't be EXTREMELY happy with it. I had the Nimbus, and while it was great, it just doesn't touch all of the different soundscapes the Dimension can, and the Dimension is cheaper.

Just watched a demo

Its a sweet pedal! I'm really looking for something smaller, But that is definitely an option now. Thanks!

I had the mad professor spring reverb. It sounded amazingly clear. Loved it. I sold it for something more dirty; the Mantic proverb. There are only guitar sound so far but I like the modulation it create.

I had the Neunaber Wet Mono and LOVED it. It booted of the highly regarded Nimbus off my board. I found the Nimbus to be extremely hissy which quickly became frustrating for me. The Wet on the other hand can be absolutely soaked with the knobs maxed and there is no volume loss, the reverb is beautifully transparent, and surprisingly flexible/usable with just the two knobs (mono version). The only reason I canned it was to make way for the Eventide Space for its midi and stereo option. Even then, I'm finding myself still slightly unhappy, as I am trying to copy/mimic the reverb from my old Wet. When I get around to making my smaller board, that WILL be the reverb I get again. Just my experience.

Which is exactly what I love about it! I watched a demo with the stereo version, in which the tone knob wasn't even moved from 12 o'clock. I was extremely impressed with it. Have you played an octave pedal through it? I also plan on getting the Earthquaker Devices Organizer. Thanks for your input!!

Sure did, it handles the whole lot. I will say that it did try the organizer to avoid participating with POG crowd and my opinion is opposite. It turned out to be one of the least usable pedals I've ever tried. The vibrato controlled by the lag changes from note to note and is one of the most limited FX pedals I've played through. But, again, that was just my experience. But the Wet gave me some of the most top shelf reverb, it's what my ears and mind thought reverb SHOULD sound like. In my most recent board transformation I lost it and I, by far, miss that pedal the most.

love me some reverb! here is what I use and reccomend: from least to most...

Roland RE-20 Space Echo: has a z-sping reverb in it and it's a very unique sound so that's why I listed it first. Can get almost envelope-like on the higher settings but just a touch really sounds spatial.Only has a level control for amount of verb.

custom MSLP delay/reverb/looper: just looking at the verb in this and its very warm. Has controls for verb size and damp which really helps to control some of the mud associated with playing some lower register bass.

EHX Cathedral: this is my end all reverb as it has lots of options all of which can be useful. Has 7 different kinds of reverb (spring, accutronics:a 6-spring reverb, room, hall, plate, reverse and flerb: has a flanger but only on the reverb). And it also has a 2 sec echo mode. Plus it has loads of controls to really get your verb how you want it. Has reverb repeats, tone/damp, blend (can go 100% wet), pre-delay (to get those BIG verb sounds) and feedback. Also has a dedicated tap-tempo and can do infinite reverb by holding down the tap tempo. Can also save presets (1 for each mode) and has AMAZING tone (uses 24-bit convertors). It's my fav and I actally like it so much it's getting a re-house and etch job.

Are you looking for a subtle reverb, or some dramatic ambient stuff ?

I have the Strymon Blue Sky which does both beautifully (with the "favorite" switch it's like having two) but it's not as small. I tried the WET stereo and sent it back as I was looking for more tweakability.
