Looking for a synth sound for my bass

I'm currently forming a band that has a sound similar to passion pit and foster the people. My goal is to get my bass to sound like the bass used by these artists.

My question is:
What pedals do bassists in this genre use?

They use a synth. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a synth. For the $$$ that you will lay out for the combination of pedals it will take you to replicate this sound, you could get a decent synth for under $1000.
