Looking for recommendations. . .

In my experience, pretty much EVERY preamp that replaced the stock Fender Dlx was a huge improvement.
I'd personally recommend the Nordstrand 3B from experience, as it's a very capable setup that is similar to what you have, but with the added bonus of being able to add features like active/passive function, mid frequency shift, and it has a built in gain adjustment onboard, and it's just a great preamp in general.

If I'm not mistaken, you have the Suhr pickups in that? The ones with the singular poles below the strings. If so, those pickups are AMAZINGLY good. A new preamp will let those shine.

There's a ton of great preamps out there in a vast range of costs, so if you have any aspects you want to keep in consideration for cost and/or function, I'm sure TB will be able to chime in on plenty of options. But this would be my choice as a go-to for that bass.
