looking to buy a stingray- 4 or 5 string?

Agree. Sterling by Music Man SUB 4. Amazing bass for the price. For a lot cheaper, Harley Benton makes a pretty good MM alternative.

They used to make a double humbucker version of this. Appears to be not available at this time.

I own the real deal and I STILL kinda want one of these.

thats what i was lookin at! the very cheapest of all the options and people seem to really like them, its surely on the list!

If you want the real thing for less money, hunt down an old USA SUB bass. They're discontinued, but they're made in the USA, with the same original components as the Stingrays and they have the classic 2 band preamp. They don't have the pretty finish like their big brothers, but they're cool as heck, and high quality.
I agree, they're often the cheapest option of getting a true blue US made Musicman Ray and the quality and difference is pretty noticeable compared to a Sterling Ray34, especially in the feel of the bass. I had both at one time and still have my US SUB, but mine is one of the passive versions of the SUB, and to be honest, prefer it to the active ones as it still has that MM sound and power but it's a little bit mellower, like a P Bass.
