lost classics from midnite vultures?

which documentary are you referring to?

Yeah, a bunch of lost stuff, though it's hard for me to remember exactly what was lost. Then there's simply the batch of material that no one else has heard, that definitely exists and is safe. And several prior to that, in the Odelay era, Beck and I lost a weeks' worth of amazing work as well, right after we got our first ProTools system. :(

Bummer. If I remember correctly, it was a series of Quicktime videos that were introduced on Beck's website. You were at someone's house with Beck and he was tracking vocals for "Debra" I think. You were under a table sweeping dustbunnies and lamenting the fact that some material was lost due to a hard drive meltdown.

I loved it because, like now, there wasn't a lot of current musicians that I was interested in and you guys were doing something that was so revolutionary and cool. I always kind of wished I had the kind of camaradie that you guys and Beck seemed to have. The videos were great because it brought me in to your world a bit and made me feel like I was a part of it. Then I'd go to the local guitar center where some guy was assaulting everyone with some Metallica riff and I'd be jolted back to reality. :)
