Double Bass Lost my Endpin, where to buy new?

Hi everyone, I lost my endpin a couple of weeks ago after going busking - I took the endpin out to put my wheel in and forgot about it.

Is there anywhere I can buy just the endpin? My bass is a New Standard Cleveland ply, I think it's a 10mm wide rod.

Get a wooden dowel from the hardware store. Just for hearing the sonic difference it is worth the 5$

Wood ain't going to work for a 10mm socket. Is there a shop in your city which works on basses? If so they probably have a bunch of old ones in a drawer. Or, you can just buy a piece of steel rod, stick it in a hand drill, and hold it against a belt sander to make a point. There was a thread recently where someone put a 10mm bolt into a wood dowel and cut off the head. A pretty clever way to do things I thought.

That's awesome. The pin on my Kay (which is 1/2" or ~13mm) is not as long as I'd like so I've been using a wooden dowel, the top 2-3" of which I carved down to fit in the assembly. It's not adjustable, always the same height but I like that the weight of the bass is on the collar of the wood and not on the little thumb screw. Wish I had thought of the cut bolt idea though, that sounds like a winner.
