Loud acoustic bass?

Personally, I don't get the impression people buy acoustic basses for their amped sound. I know I didn't. But reality dictates that in many settings, an acoustic bass is going to require amplied support. That's just life because "loud" is a relative thing. Maybe this is what you need (and it's a 6 string!)...

I have 3 acoustic basses, and a few others have passed through my home. The loudest one I've ever had is a carlo robelli that I won at sam ash. I almost sold it having not touched it since I bought a 5 string - but when I took it out to clean it up and plucked away from it I took the sale ads down. It's wicked loud unplugged but leaves a bit to be desired if ya plug it in.

They're dirt cheap, if you can find one.
