Low tension rounds with minimal flop

DR Sunbeams are what sit on my medium scale bass and they are not floppy at all. They are easier to play and if you set your action just a smidge higher they pay off in tone. My P-Bass has Thomastic Jazz Rounds - THOSE are interesting strings. Still not floppy, but they have a lot of flexibility and the gauges are tiny and very smooth.

I use Thomastik Jazz Rounds on my Jazz Bass - nice flexible strings, not floppy but those do require a lighter touch. The small diameter wrap wire makes them feel smooth and cuts down on finger noise when switching positions.
