About 4 years ago I was taking some clothes out of the dryer, and boom! My lower back went out and I haven't had a single pain free day since. Some days are worse than others and I've learned to live with it (I still exercise tons, and that helps), but life was a lot more pleasant before this came to haunt me. Tying shoes is a daily chore, gettin out of bed a little tough until I walk around a bit... And of course playing my 11 lb Stingray became a thing of the past.
Tonight, while searching for lower back exercises for a Total Gym I just bought and LOVE - I came across a video that promised to get rid of back pain immediately. I laughed, but with close to 22 million views I thought maybe there's something to this...
He drew me in by describing my problem, exactly! So I followed through with the 1st exercise.
I stood up and as manly a man as I like to think I am, my eyes filled up with tears. It was the first time in 4 years that the pain was gone.
Yes, of course it came back 15 minutes later, but I think there's a LOT of hope to be had in this video - so I'm reposing it for anyone else who might identify with this type of back pain.
I'm going to commit to this... maybe others would like to also climb on board? If so, please share your experience. If you found other solutions, share that too.
PS. A vertical board actually made my back worse (had one for about 6 months then gave it away). I think that only works for certain kinds of back pain, as some people swear by them.
Das all.
