Double Bass Lowered bridge

I saw a post somewhere on talkbass about lowering the bridge helping the notes at the upper fingerboard to sound better. Mine was just a bit higher than I liked, I lowered it, and it somehow did just that. Can't explain it, and it still isn't too low, but it plays great

I have had a similar experience, I lowered the action on my bass and the lower strings got way more growly and articulate, and my upper fingerboard playing had more of the bass and mids pop out. It was a quite nice surprise. :)
