LTD AP-204 Bass... any good?

I’m very interested in this bass, but I can’t seem to find much info at all on it... anyone own one or have played one??

I wasn't aware of that model's existance. I'd like to watch this thread to see if anyone has some experience. It Reminds me of a Peavey T series somehow.

I'd try it out if I saw one in the wild! My ltd B50 was a great PJ bass, though a little less than half the price of the ap-204. My ltd D4 has served me well for what, 4 years now? My point is that Ltd can make some great quality basses at various price points. Are you able to try one out locally?

I too am interested in this model. Can't try as Im ordering it mail order. Looks like a fairly standard PJ set up. I think I might just take a chance and get it.
The only thing I don't like is the inability to turn off the active pus, or can this be remedied?

I played a 205 a couple years ago at a shop in NM. I liked the playability and don't recall the neck diving. I was sitting however. This post is making me try to remember that as I'm interested in maybe doing a couple of custom builds based on these basses. I own a LTD B205 fretless and I love how it plays. I recently swapped the pups for EMG DCs and it is more to my ear than it was stock but it was super playable stock. I like the 400MM radius and the thin U necks on these basses.

In the standard PUP configuration (non EMGs) the EQ is active but the PUPs are passive. shouldn't need to turn off the active at all for your use if I understand correctly.
