It started 2 practices ago...last practice it was fine, but it did it again tonight.
It got all static-y like a fried amp..but we're using both amps in it (main & monitor) to run 5 speakers (3 on one, 2 on the other[8 ohm speakers])..and all the speakers sounded the same..all input channels are effected equally..so I'm thinking it's something in the pre-amp, after the mix, but before the power amps?
The first time it happened, I turned it off for a minute..spun all the knobs around for a bit..then turned it back on, and it was fine. I thought maybe some dust got in somewhere...
But tonight we were driving it pretty hard, and it did it again...but nothing I did helped, and so we left it off and used an even older head we had laying around.
I see them going used for 250 USD, so I'm thinking it probably isn't worth paying a shop to repair.
Any advice about what I could do?
