I have been building and bartering mainly guitars though I am a bassist first,I just got 2 nice instruments for 7 homebuilds.The economy is making getting fair prices rough so barter works for now,one of the instruments I had obtained is a Hofner Galaxy its alright but I had lost a P-bass in the deal.I for some reason like to own 5 bass's at any given time,I suppose its my security number.I also always like to have at least one P or Jazz bass it some how feels right.I am building 2 bass guitars right now but the one I am trolling for opinions on is the current build.it is a black Madeira body I understand it stands for Japanese Guild,the Neck is pretty old appearing bit is a Yamaha BB 300 neck,I owned several Yamaha instruments over the years and I like the product.This bass is configured with a P and a J pickup but I am wondering on what the consensus is with Madeira bass's and how far back a yamaha BB 300 might go,when I am finished I will upload pix
