Hi- I have a Yamaha Magicstomp EB on the way from another forum member and want to make sure I am ready to set it up when it arrives. I read the big Magicstomp thread (yes, the whole thing), but it is unclear to me which editing software and firmware is appropriate, and where to get it. I think the EB model is the same as a mark II model, but I am not sure. The Magicstomp.com website has some downloads, but it is unclear to me which, if any, are the latest (or best).

So, I have 3 basic questions:

What is the preferred firmware for Magicstomp EB?

What is the preferred editing software for Magicstomp EB?

Where do I get the software?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Jeff

when you purchase the MagicStomp new, there is a cd-rom included and a USB cable [computer - magic stomp]. On the cd-rom are plenty of patches that can be loaded into the software, modified, then sent to the MagicStomp (USB). It's very intuitive. Connect a pair of headphones to the back of the 'Stomp while you use the editing software and you can hear what your doing.

Thanks. I read in the big thread that people found certain versions of the editing software to be the easiest to use. It was unclear which version was preferred. Do you know which version you have? Should I plan to update the firmware if it is not the most recent?
