Hi, newbie on the forum here, all the way from the North West of Ireland *waving*
I recently came into possession of a Westone Spectrum GT bass, gorgeous piece of kit, perfect in every respect except a small problem with one of the pickups (wiring or such, I thought).
Turned out the small problem was not small after all and the bridge pickup which is a "Magnabass IV" is done for.
Westone has ceased trading (more's the pity because I have an even older Westone bass that I love) and their otherwise helpful website is not particularly helpful in regard to pickups.
Does anyone know anything about these Magnabass pickups. They were used on a few of the Westone models. Who made them, do they still make them, and how can I get hold of one?
Is there an equivalent make that's available today that I could use to replace it with?
